Trucking today is a far cry form the days when a trucker didn't need a CB, when diesel fuel was under twenty cents a gallon, and when drivers stopped to help each other, regardless of who they drove for.

In earlier times, trucks were a bit primitive and took a lot of skill to operate. Horsepower was low and then there were the “two sticks” with which to shift.

Trucks were made of steel and so were the drivers. Truckers were generally clean-shaven, had short hair, wore pleated Frisco jeans and had either Pendleton shirts or a complete uniform (with hat) if they drove for a larger common carrier.

Today's trucks are a state of the art, with lighter components and more horsepower. The trucker of today is often referred to as “the last American cowboy.” In times past, truckers were truckers, and not cowboys. Bring back the past, when truckers would help each other…… no drugs, no profanity, no CB, no “Lot Lizards.” Just plain truckers with not a whole lot of fanfare.

Some of the benefits available to the employees are as follows:

One week paid vacation after your first calendar year of employment to be paid at an average of one weeks wages based on your per mile pay.

Employer Supplemented Medical Insurance paid at 100% of single person premium. Medical Insurance starts after 90 days of employment with the company.

Driver Requirements

Minimum Age:
23 years old

Minimum Experience:
Two years commercial driving experience in a comparable class of vehicle. Driver must have verifiable references dating back (3) years.

Equipment:
We operate late model Paccar. Our trailers are primarily 53' refrigerated trailers.

Operating Area:
Our hauling area is primarily the western and Midwestern states with occasional trips to the south east. We do not haul to the north east as a general rule.

Miles:
Our drivers average about 12,500 miles per month. Red Rock Transfer's policy on mileage is to RUN LEGAL!

Freight Handling:
Our loads are 99% no touch. There may be an occasion where a driver may have to help stack a pallet to speed up unloading.
